Frequently Asked Questions

Pay, hours, training, equipment, and everything else you might want to know before applying.

What will I get paid?

Paid training. Starting wage with no experience: $16.00/hr. Add $1/hr if you have a valid driver's license (privilege). Depending on experience, training starts at $18+.

After training, you move to piece rate. Foremen typically make $20–$30/hr. Helpers typically make $18–$26/hr.

What is piece rate?

Piece rate is a set amount of pay to complete a specific job, normally split between the foreman and the helper. If you do the job quickly and efficiently, you effectively make more per hour. It rewards hard work versus a flat hourly rate — every employee has the opportunity to make more per hour on piece rate.

How often do I get paid?

Weekly. Payday is every Monday. Direct deposit is available.

How many hours will I work per week?

All positions are full time — expect 40+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the occasional Saturday only if needed.

Production crews start between 6:30 and 7:00 AM and work until the job is complete. Touch-up crews start between 7:00 and 7:30 AM and work until the job is complete.

Is there room for promotions and pay raises?

Yes. We're looking for motivated people who want to move up quickly. Attendance, attitude, reliability, and work ethic are the biggest factors in advancement.

Reviews happen at week 2 and week 4. Promotion to right-hand man or foreman is possible within the first few weeks. Raises depend on performance, not tenure.

What is the paid time off and holiday policy?

5 paid holidays per year (if the holiday falls on a workday).

Foremen: 5 additional paid days after the first year, then 1 more day each year up to 5 days total (10 paid days plus holidays).

Helpers: 1 additional paid day per year up to 5 days total (5 paid days plus holidays).

What should I bring to the interview?

Two forms of ID are required — one from each option below. No copies or pictures accepted.

Option 1: State photo ID, valid driver's license, or passport.

Option 2: Social Security card, work visa, or U.S. birth certificate.

Do I have to use my own vehicle?

Your first day, report to the shop at 6:30 AM for tools and crew assignment. New employees drive to the job site themselves or arrange a pickup with their crew.

Once you become a permanent crew member (right-hand man or foreman), a company vehicle is provided and you can park your personal vehicle at the shop. A valid driver's license is required for company vehicles (California licenses are not accepted).

Where is the parking area?

Park at the lot off W 1900 N Street — about a 2-minute walk to the shop at 1550 N Trinnaman Lane, Lehi, Utah. Ask your foreman or the office if you need directions on your first day.

Do I need to buy any paint or materials?

No. All materials and paint are provided by the company.

Is the equipment provided?

Provided at no cost: sprayers, pumps, materials, ladders, and vacuums.

Required personal tools: putty knife, nail set, caulk gun, utility knife, and respirator. The respirator is available for purchase at a reduced cost, deducted from your paycheck.

What can I expect the first week?

Report to the shop at 6:30 AM for tools and crew assignment. You'll rotate between teams during the first weeks so we can find the best fit.

Will I be working by myself?

Production: 2–3 member crews. Touch-up: 2 member crews (a touch-up foreman may sometimes work alone).

Can I use my car to drive to the job site?

Yes, with arrangements made with your field manager.
